Fatima Salinas

I currently work as a Marketing Strategist for K. Johnson Studio, where I assist in brand development, content planning, and audience engagement strategies. In this role, I create and manage social media content, craft newsletters, and support clients in their brand identity.

Additionally, I work as a writer and editor for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Marketing Department, where I develop and write feature stories on faculty, student initiatives, and academic programs. I conduct interviews and create clear, engaging articles, while editing for clarity, accuracy, and AP style.

Through these experiences, I’ve developed strong skills in storytelling, strategic communication, content creation, interviewing, editing, and digital marketing. My professional interests lie in media and entertainment public relations, marketing, community development, 1st amendment and political journalism.

Outside of my professional work, I serve as Vice President of PR and Marketing for the University of Iowa’s Multicultural Greek Council. I am also an active member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc., where I’ve held leadership roles including Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Cultural Awareness Chair. I currently serve as their Bylaws chair.
